On rules

The fundamental issue is: If there is a right way, there is also a left way. Magic has known that for a long time.

Rules create rule breakers, who create conflict, which creates division and hate. If we are going for genuine unity, we will always need to fundamentally evaluate the necessity of rules.

Laws are still a relict from old times, where they were necessary to protect absolutist leaders from being exposed. This led to broad learned helplessness and to the belief that some humans are just “evil,” and that there would be nothing we can do about it.

Right now, this might even be true. But assuming that this will never change would destroy hope. And I’m not on this planet for a hopeless existence.
